Rashid Khan led Afghanistan arrived at the Shah Amanat International Airport in Chattogram at noon today. Afghanistan team, who arrived at the Dhaka airport at 9:30 am, left for Chattogram at 11:30 am. Afghanistan will be playing a one-off Test against the hosts Bangladesh, scheduled to start from September 5 at the Zahur Ahmed Chowdhury Stadium in Chattogram.
After a disappointing World Cup that ended in July, Bangladesh were whitewashed in a three-match ODI series against Sri Lanka in July. The Tigers will be desperate to get back in winning ways and get their rhythm back with a win in this upcoming Test.
The one-off Test will be followed by a triangular T20I series featuring hosts Bangladesh, Zimbabwe and Afghanistan, starting from September 13.
