Shaun Grady has moved to reassure Cambridge United supporters that discussions continue with regards to new investment into the club.
At the shareholders’ meeting, it was explained that additional funding was required to boost the U’s and that talks were ongoing with interested parties.
In an update to fans, director of business Grady said: “Given the statement made at the AGM that additional funding was available to support the club until the end of June, the board wants to reassure fans that advanced discussions over ownership and future investment are continuing.
“The board met on Friday and restated its overriding objective to make the right decision for the long-term future of Cambridge United. We remain hopeful these talks can bring financial security to the club.
“We will give an update at the earliest possible opportunity and in the meantime everyone at the club is continuing to plan for what we hope will be a successful season ahead.”
